El Dorado Hills Bowmen Archery Classes and Events offers Intro To Archery – Group Lesson sessions and hosts events such as the North American Animal 3D Shoot, Monthly 3D Shoots from March through September, and the Broadhead Challenge on July 25th and 26th, 2026. The Intro To Archery group lesson session lasts for 2 hours and is scheduled on Saturdays at 9:00 AM on June 20th, July 18th, August 15th, and September 19th, 2026. Registration for the North American Animal 3D Shoot is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 2026.
• Ages: 16–18 years old
• Schedule: Intro To Archery 2-hour group lessons on select Saturdays at 9:00 AM, plus Monthly 3D Shoots March–September
• Price: Intro To Archery group lessons from $50.00; North American Animal 3D Shoot registration $5.00–$50.00; suggested $5 donation for visitors and non-members over 16 years of age
The range is normally open most days of the year from sunrise to sunset and is only closed for events and during maintenance, and it is open to the public 7 days a week except during events and maintenance. The facility includes a Circuit Range of 28 fixed targets at varied distances and terrains, a 10/20 yard Training Range, a Sight-in Range with distances up to 100 yards, a Broadhead Pit, and a 10/15 yard Kiddie Range. Broadheads are prohibited except at the Broadhead Pit, shooting at unapproved targets is not allowed, and archers must not shoot from beyond the established and marked distances at any of the ranges; when searching for arrows, a bow or look-out must be stationed in front of the target to warn of a potential hazard.
All Intro To Archery instructors are certified by USA Archery, the governing body of USA Olympics Archery, and the policy requires lessons to be taught by USA Archery Certified Instructors. The range has been open to the public for six decades and is funded solely through membership fees, volunteerism, and public donations. Membership perks include preferred parking, club shoots, discounts at other clubs’ events, help improving archery skills, and a friendly atmosphere, and only member vehicles are permitted beyond the gate while public parking is available at the bottom of the driveway before the gate.
